Indoor winds is a different show: shorter, a gym instead of a stadium, a floor instead of a field, and an audience close enough to see faces. The music has to land faster and change more often. This collection holds the shows we have written for winter wind ensembles.
Every show here is for sale as-is, as arrangements for a build-your-own show, or as the start of a partial custom show. Pricing is quoted per program.

In The Key of Cool
Written for Travelers Rest High School's 2025 winter ensemble, In The Key of Cool is a 5:00 jazz show. Bobby Timmons' Moanin' opens it, House of the Rising Sun is the ballad, and Cory Wong's Golden closes it. The parts are written at an advanced level for a group that already had a strong fall season and wanted something with swing and space for soloists.
Make Some Noise
Also written for Travelers Rest High School's winter ensemble in 2025, Make Some Noise is a 7:30 show about sound itself, from clicks and snaps to the full ensemble at once. Tank!, the Cowboy Bebop big-band theme, opens it at grade 5; Joji's Slow Dancing in the Dark is the ballad; Blow It Up and Dope with Start Again close it.
What we write for indoor winds
Three movements rather than four, because six minutes does not leave room for a long transition. Percussion is written for the floor: a small battery and a front ensemble that doubles as the amplified rhythm section. Sound design is heavier than in a fall show because the room is dead and the audience is close.
What the package includes
The full score and parts as PDFs, MusicXML files for edits, MP3 recordings for rehearsal, the sound design file, the show graphic and a director's guide with setup notes. Choreography for winds is available on request, which matters more indoors than on a field because the audience can see every hand.
Custom indoor shows
Most of our indoor work is custom. A winter ensemble usually starts with a specific idea, a specific soloist or a specific piece the director has wanted to use for years. We write those shows between October and January so the band has the music before winter break.
Buying a show
Every indoor show here is for sale as written or as a starting point. Licensing goes through Tresona and is paid by the school. Pricing is quoted per program.

Yes. Most of our indoor work is custom. Contact us in September or October so the music is ready before winter break.
Sometimes. A three-part fall show with a strong ballad can be trimmed to six minutes. We will tell you whether a specific show works before you buy it.
No. When you buy a pre-written show, we keep it exclusive to you in your circuit for that season. Custom shows are always exclusive to your program.
