Grade 3 is where most competitive high school bands live, and it is where most of our catalog lives: shows written at grade 3 to 4 for programs across South Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, Kansas and North Carolina. Each one was a custom show for a real band first, which means the pacing, the ballad placement and the closer have all been tested in front of judges.
Every show here is for sale as-is, as arrangements for a build-your-own show, or as the start of a partial custom show. Pricing is quoted per program.

What intermediate means here
The wind books use the full range of the instrument but stay inside what a strong sophomore can play with good tone. Technical passages are short and repeated rather than long and new. Percussion books assume a battery that has marched a season and a front ensemble with at least two mallet players. Runtimes sit between 6:00 and 8:45.
Shows in this collection
Aromatic, written for Gilbert High School in 2025, moves from Avner Dorman's Spices through Scheherazade to a closer that pairs Wayfaring Stranger with Saint-Saëns' Bacchanale. The Uninvited, for New Bern, is a haunted-house show that folds Hush Little Baby into Bernard Herrmann's Psycho and ends on Night on Bald Mountain. Fast Lane, for Valley Center, runs Samuel Hazo's Go!, Olivia Rodrigo's Drivers License and Danger Zone in 6:38. Gold Rush, Off the Rails, Takeover, Gargoyle, Drawn to Life and Let Them Eat Cake are all here too.
Why we write so much at this level
A grade 3 show gives a band something to grow into without a cliff in September. The groups we work with most are state finalists and bands trying to become one; those programs need a show that is clean by the first contest and still has effect left to add in October. Grade 3 writing does that.
Changing a show to fit your band
Every show on this page can be bought as written, assembled from parts of several shows, or used as the start of a partial custom program. Swapping a ballad is common; so is cutting a four-part show to three for a shorter runtime. Licensing is handled through Tresona and paid by the school. Pricing is quoted per program.
Range, tempo and how long the hard passages run. Our intermediate shows mix the two: openers and closers often reach grade 4 in the melody while ballads and transitions stay at grade 3.
No. Most were written for bands of 40 to 90 winds. A few, like Off the Rails and Gold Rush, were written for smaller groups and are tagged as small-band shows.
Pre-written shows ship as soon as licensing clears. Custom work follows our calendar: music by May 1, drill by Labor Day.
No. When you buy a pre-written show, we keep it exclusive to you in your circuit for that season. Custom shows are always exclusive to your program.
