Wild Horses
Arrangement preview
The Rolling Stones' Wild Horses, written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, arranged for marching band by Brighton Barrineau and Trevor Schachner with percussion by Brady Hartness, 2:09 at grade 3 to 4, written as the ballad of Dorman High School's 2019 show for a large band. The country-rock ballad becomes a wind chorale with a soloist on the verse and the full band on the chorus, and the battery enters late so the arrangement grows rather than starts loud. It is a ballad for a program with good tone in the mid-voices, since the melody sits in the mellophone and saxophone range for long stretches. Wild Horses preceded Digging in the Dirt in the original book and works in any show about the West, freedom or distance. Audio of the full arrangement is on this page. Available on its own or in a build-your-own show; licensing goes through Tresona and is paid by the school.

Every arrangement here is available on its own. Combine it with arrangements from other shows, or add it to a show where we write a few new pieces for your band. Pricing depends on what you need, so we'll work it out together.
