Aria of the Night & Bohemian Rhapsody
Arrangement preview
An opener that puts Mozart's Queen of the Night aria next to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, arranged for marching band by Brighton Barrineau and Trevor Schachner with percussion by Brady Hartness. It runs 1:43 at grade 3 to 4 and was written for Lugoff-Elgin High School's 2024 season. The Mozart coloratura becomes a woodwind and trumpet feature; the Rhapsody enters as the full-band answer, so the two pieces trade phrases rather than playing one after the other. It was designed as the first 1:43 of a show, which means it establishes a key, a tempo and a tune the audience knows inside the first thirty seconds. Use it as the opener of an opera-meets-rock show (our A Night At The Opera does something similar with Fidelio) or on its own. Audio of the full arrangement is on this page. Available as a stand-alone arrangement or inside a build-your-own show; licensing for the Queen material goes through Tresona and is paid by the school.

Every arrangement here is available on its own. Combine it with arrangements from other shows, or add it to a show where we write a few new pieces for your band. Pricing depends on what you need, so we'll work it out together.
